    Photo of the Day

I stumbled upon this website that posts photos of a photographer (Jamie Livingston) who took a picture of everyday of his life from 1979 until the day he died of cancer in 1997 using a Polaroid SX-70.  Click here for an article regarding the photos/project.  Here is a site with all the photos.  His friends put together all the photos and created an exhibit after he passed in his honor.  I've seen a lot of similar type of projects but this one takes the cake in terms of this guy's life content.  Also, not sure if this will look and be as cool if it is done in the digital age.  Something about the polaroids just make it so much more grittier and real and edgy.  Poignant and pretty rad.

    Last week's auditions:
Short film "A Palimpsest Transmission" - declined to go to the callback because I had made a prior commitment which I could not get out of.
Thailand modeling - for a 3 month modeling contract in Thailand.  I have no runway experience whatsoever and they had me pose and do a little catwalk strut.  I was dying laughing inside because I had no idea what I was doing AND they were playing this RuPaul-esque dance music when they asked me to do my walk.  Could not help but think of Zoolander.  I don't know.. I think runway modeling would be fun and challenging but hard to take serious.  I am determined to do it at least for the experience.  haha

On a disappointing note, did not book any prior auditions.  Got to keep on keeping on.

    Audition Log #3

Went to two more auditions this past Saturday... one was for a UCLA grad student thesis project and the other for a national commercial for DiGiorno pizza.  Both would be pretty awesome to book and have on the resume.  Felt pretty good coming out of both of them.  HOWEVER, how I feel means absolutely nothing in regards to booking or not booking a project.  Should find out in the next few days.  Got...to..keep...moving..forward.

    Audition log #2

Another commercial audition today..  This one for some telecom company to be aired in Holland.  Had to do some kind of stupid human trick.  Mine happened to be to blow bubbles from my mouth using my spit.  Such a useless talent.  But, the commercial will be shot in Copenhagen.  I'd jump at the chance to visit Copenhagen again... such a beautiful city.

    Audition Log #1

I have decided to keep track of every audition I go on so I can keep track of what I've been on, booked, etc.  I guess we can call it an experiment... at finding what the failure/rejection rate is for me.  Hahaha  So let's get on with it...

Today I went on a commercial audition for KFC.
